Due to the investment that these individuals have made and  administrative efforts made by the Jamaica Badminton Association, to not only invest in the players but also in coaches and court officials, Jamaica now has the most senior and experienced tutors & trainers in the English speaking Caribbean. It is also interesting to note that where the Shuttle Time program is concerned we are also ahead of major countries like the USA & Canada.

Due to this fact the PAN American Development director for Badminton, Mr. German Valdez, has chosen these individuals to start spreading the BWF Level 1 & Shuttle Time programs throughout the Caribbean Region. Wong is already in Barbados in which the Level 1 course for Barbados will start today. Astwood will join him today to assist and pilot the Shuttle Time courses. Wong has so far worked in Trinidad to develop Badminton coaching programs and will head to Suriname shortly to continue these programs. Astwood who has worked in St. Lucia and the smaller islands may be sent to Haiti to assist in their program depending of whether a translator can be found to be used while he is there.

Locally, Jamaica will continue to strengthen its comrade of coaches, with Shuttle Time & BWF Level 1 coaching programs scheduled to be done in both Mandeville &   Montego Bay.
